Solution

The multiple cleaner system created by Martin is now the standard for applications on belt conveyors.

After reviewing the problem, Martin Mexico recommended installing the Martin® QC1™ Cleaner PD and a Martin® SQC2S™ Cleaner. The Martin® QC1™ Cleaner features a curved one-piece urethane blade for long belt cleaner life, and quick-change blade replacement. The Martin® SQC2S™ Cleaner incorporates individually-cushioned tungsten carbide blades for effective conveyor belt cleaning without risk to the belt, splice or blade.

Results

AFTER: The belt cleaners stopped the spillage, reduced ongoing maintenance, and increased production.

The newly installed conveyor belt cleaners reduced the number of stops in production to clean along the conveyors, and the need for maintenance. The lifespan of the conveyor components and replacement parts increased. The customer was very satisfied with Martin’s recommendation and installation of the new belt cleaners. They praised Martin Mexico’s team for improving worker safety and increasing production.
